Trying to array 50 X 3 volt, 20mA, 650mw red laser diodes (pre-installed 330 resistors) Some say series, some say parallel. Put together a 40 diode 5 volts serial/parallel array. 4 in series then paralleled the 10 strings. Powered by 12 volts, 1 amp wall wart. All light, but some brighter, some dimmer, uniform brilliance poor. After a 7 - 10 minutes many diodes dimmed.
Also, assembled 20 X 5 volts diodes in series. (60V, 400mA) Powered by 8 - 9 X 9 volts batteries = 69V - 78V, 400mA - 500mA. Too many batteries, want to keep supply voltage as low as possible. Also, 9V battery mAs insufficient to achieve max brilliance.
Anyone with know how in the best way to accomplish goal PLEASE HELP. Please be detailed and clear. TYVM
