Full Spectrum Stepping Motor Help

Post by supergokougt »

I am trying to replace a stepper motor from a Full Spectrum LASER cutter.

Any chance you can help me figure it out?

http://hybridsteppermotor.sell.everychi ... motor.html

The number on the motor is type 42BYGH108-31 CW No:2014.12.13

The above website lists it and gives more information.

Then I would like to replace the pulley to something that can be swapped since the one supplied with the machine seems to be pressed on.

The motor in the link looks like an exact replacement. If you don't want to order from there, you can check with Anaheim Automation to see if they have one with comparable specifications. For the pulley, Anaheim may have one. Or you can check with StockDrive or McMaster Carr. They both carry a wide range of pulleys and should have one with the appropriate tooth profile and shaft diameter for your motor.

Thanks. I tried that site but not sure how it is going to work out.

I send an email to Anaheim - thanks for the suggestion!
