Hi,
Full Spectrum Laser makes some low end table top laser cutters.
Has anyone used them for anything? Can you tell us what you
think about these laser cutter machines. It looks like you can
apply for a financing plan for these machines: some start at
about $68 bucks and some around $97 bucks per month.
Does anyone think these machines are a good deal for the money?
Has anyone used the low end Full Spectrum Laser Cutters?

I have their 4th gen 40W Hobby Laser. For the cost, can't complain...the software's really excellent and the hardware does fine with 1/8" acrylic and wood. A number of Adafruit products (Raspberry Pi and Beaglebone cases, Cupcade, etc.) were prototyped on the FSL before being produced in quantity on bigger industrial lasers. Weaker points have been the engraving quality and handling of thicker & larger material, and the useless air evac fan.
They're doing right by calling this a "hobby laser." I don't mean that as a put-down...rather, within that scope, it's a great product. I've since upgraded to a much beefier and more refined laser from another vendor, but getting my feet wet with the hobby laser proved the value of the tool, no regrets there.

I own their 5th generation laser cutter. I've read not-so-great things about them online but my experience has been very positive. I cut and etch on wood, acrylic, BANNED, and some metal (using Thermark). I have a lot of fun making simple gifts for friends and family and using the laser for some of my projects.
