Touch sensors

Hi,

I'd like to create a circuit where current only flows if you touch a branch. A simple example would be a LiPo in series with a LED, resistor, and some input device where you touch it to complete the circuit, e.g. touching the branch lights the LED.

1. Would the 1374 (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1374) be suitable for this?

2. If so, when you're not touching the 1374, is there any current draw or leakage from the LiPo? Or is it an open circuit?

If the branch is conductive enough it should work but there will be a current draw even when not activated. The datasheet will have more information on this.
