BNO085 axis

by Math51 on Sat Nov 21, 2020 7:06 pm

Hello,

I'm starting to design a project a with the BNO085. For now, I'm testing the different operating modes of the BNO085, specialy in I2C and UART-RVC mode.

For the UART-RVC mode, I read in the BNO085 datasheet page 22 (here : https://www.ceva-dsp.com/wp-content/upl ... asheet.pdf) that in UART-RVC mode:
- "The pitch is a measure of the rotation around the Y-axis."
- "The roll is a measure of the rotation around the X-axis."

But when I upload the uart_rvc_plotter.ino into my Arduino Du, when I plot the data in the Arduino serial plotter:
- when I rotate the BNO085 arround X axis, it's the pitch value that varies
- when I rotate the BNO085 arround Y axis, it's the roll value that varies

So it's seams that there is an invertion between the datasheet of the BNO085 and the sketch. But I take a look on the sketch and it' seems to be good.
So there is a mistake on the BNO085 datasheet ?
Have you an idea ?

Thanks !
