How to Read Gyroscope Values from NXP NXP Precision 9DoF Bre

How do I get the angular velocity values from this IMU. I am using a Raspberry Pi 3B with ROS installed. I keep getting zeros for all IMU values.

Just to be sure, is this the 9DoF you are using?

ROS = Raspberry Pi OS?

Does the board show up in an I2C scan?

The board shows up in i2cdetect -y 1. I just need a way to get accurate gyro values using python 2.7.9

Python 2 is not supported.

You'll have to use Python 3. Then follow this guide for initial setup:
