SIMPLE RF M4 to trigger servos?

by Gustafa on Thu Aug 05, 2021 2:32 pm

Hey gang,

Im needing to add just 1 possibly 2 more channels for my robot. My main transmitter is a Spektrum DX6e and all the channels are used up. I wanted to be able to use the adafruit SIMPLE RF M4 to trigger a servo from position to another and back again at the push of the fob button.

Excuse my rookie know-how, but can I use the pins on the RF M4 to trigger a servo?

Thanks ahead of time!
Chase

These receivers have just a simple logic level output. They cannot generate the pulse-trains that are required to control a servo. You could add in a small microcontroller in between to accept the signals from the M4 and generate the servo control pulses.
