by cougaro on Wed Sep 01, 2021 9:36 am

Hello,

I just received the macropad but I have an issue on KEY 11.
I already contacted the support via email and they told me to write here.

the RGB led works perfectly but when I press the key nothing happens, please check it out the video:

Thanks for the vid.

What if you swap the actual key itself. Does the issue stay with KEY11? Or does it follow the specific key? This will help determine if it's the MacroPad or the mechanical key.

Thank you for your reply,

I fixed the problem, it was the key.

You were able to fix the key? Was it actually broken somehow? Just wondering if there's still something broken needing replacing here?

No switching the keys everything seems to works great. I have another question I see the following examples on github:

https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Ci ... n/examples

BUT.... is it possible from a C++ application to send commands to the macropad ? Do I have to use a serial COM library or there is better way to do that ? sorry
for the question but I'm a newbie with circuits and microcontrollers.

Thank you

Something serial/com based is currently the recommended way. You can create a dedicated "data" USB serial port on the CircuitPython device:

That way it can be done over USB at least.
