Did you purchase all the same model Pi's?

What exact version of Pi 4 is the one not working?

What are you using to power the Pi?

What OS image are you using and how did you image it to the SD card?

Can you provide more info on what is not working? Not booting? Not displaying on screen? GPIO pins aren't working? Something else?

I purchased a 4gb and 8gb pi at the same time along with the power supplies:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/4298
https://www.adafruit.com/product/4296
https://www.adafruit.com/product/4564

I'm using pikvm currently. The 8GB pi is fine, but the 4gb pi will lock up after about an hour of being turned on.

I use winimage to write the image typically.

Sometimes the pi won't boot, sometimes it will. when it does sometimes it boots up all the way, sometimes is freezes before completely booting up. When it does boot up it usually freezes after about an hour. I've tried swapping the sd cards between the two and the issue stays with the 4gb pi

Thanks for the info. That all looks fine. For the sake of troubleshooting, please try imaging Raspberry Pi OS Lite and run that on the problematic Pi. See if you get the same general behavior with that OS image.

Why would i need to do that? I can literally move the sd card from one pi4 to another and it works fine.

I can't hardly even get it to display a boot screen with that image. Again, i can put the same card in a different pi and it boots up fine. but in this one most of the time it won't even show anything on the screen and the green led just flashes quickly. if i pull out the card i get a screen saying it can't read the sd card.

After rebooting and messing around with it for over an hour it finally booted up, but when i looked at it again this morning it had locked up and I can't get it to boot again.

OK, thanks for double checking with Raspberry Pi OS. Let's replace it.

Send an email to support@adafruit.com with a link to this thread and your order number and they can send you a replacement 4G Pi (PID 4296).
