I am trying to incorporate a Wave Shield to add some sound effects to a game but I have run into a brick wall. Using any of the sample programs of the WaveShield tutorial results in Error: Card init. failed! SD I/O error: 1, FF. I have changed chipSelect to 10 for the Adafruit shield. I have reheated all solder joints. Any ideas would be appreciated.
One thing that puzzles me - the tutorial says that it requires a FAT16 formatted SD/MMC card and recommends downloading SD Card Formatter to use for it. I did so, but I am unable to see where I am given the option of specifying FAT16 - it defaults to FAT32.
