Hi,
I ordered some components from you on the 11th of December (order number 1301395).
I'm facing some issue with the AM2315 Temperature and humidity sensor.
After going thought different forums and the specs of the vendor I was able to make it work.
The problem I have it's that very often the device does not reply. I have changed all jumpers to be sure that there is no bad contact there but without success.
The behaviour is the following.
I switch on the Raspberry
Run a script who wake up and then read the sensor data
data get returned.
Couple of minutes later I run the script again
sensor gets not detected (means return no data, if I run sudo i2cdetect -y 1 twice (or more) the device is not displayed.
Some times after a couple of hours the device gets alive again and return values. Most of the time if I disconnect the 5v power and plug it in again the sensor returns also data.
Did you have already some similar cases. Could you please advice what I should do.
As it work sometimes I think there is no issue with the wiring please advice if I should send you pictures of it.
Best Regards
Yannick

Please do post a photo showing your hardware and connections. 800x600 images usually work best.

Hi thanks for the quick reply,
Yes two 10k Pull-ups are connected.
Please find attached the pictures of the wiring. As described it is not that the sensor never worked it's only sometimes.
Best Regards
Yannick

I apologize for the delay.
Let's try a new sensor. Send a note containing a link to this thread and your order number to [email protected]. The folks there will get you a new AM2315.
