Otg cable issues

by pts on Wed Dec 13, 2017 8:39 pm

Hi i just purchased this OTG cable
https://www.adafruit.com/product/3610

Im trying to plug it into an arduino micro to my android, however its not working.

I own a similar cable as this product and it works.

I was hoping to not have to use another usb cable, and have it all in one..

Any insight to if the first product "should" work, and if so, how to get it working?

Thanks!

Does your Android device have a USB-OTG port?

USB connections require a host device at one end and a client device at the other end. Most micro-B jacks are for client connections, but the USB-OTG spec opened the possibility of devices that can work as both clients and hosts.

The only OTG device we know about is the RasPi Zero though.
