Teensy 3.2 for Adafruit PWM driver

Post by jijiglam »

I have hooked up an Arduino with an RF receiver. I need to replace the Arduino Uno with a Teensy 3.2. However, teensy 3.2 only output 3V logic and the RF receiver is 5V logic, what is the best way to have the hook these two up? My current solution in mind is to power the RF receiver with 5V and power the teesy with 3V via a voltage divider. I found a level shifter from adafruit (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1787), would that be a better way to go about it? Do I have to worry about the voltage difference when the RF receiver give datas back to teensy's analog pins?

Sounds like you want a bidirectional level shifter. Like one of these:
