Hello,
I've purchased 3 of Adafruit's LiPo batteries so far (2 x Lithium Ion Battery - 3.7v 2000mAh PID: 2011, 1 x Lithium Ion Polymer Battery - 3.7v 500mAh PID: 1578). My last purchase for one of these was on 03Jul2017
I keep having the issue where the wires connecting the LiPos to the JST-PH connectors keep getting pulled out and disconnected at the battery end. I am afraid to solder the wire back to the battery terminal because i don't want to mess with Lithium Ion batteries (!!), so they are effectively of no use any more. This has now happened for 3 batteries.
I'm only using the batteries with the Adafruit PowerBoost (PID: 2465) and I've been careful not to put stress on the wires when i plug and unplug the JST-PH into the PowerBoost. Therefore, i am unsure of why the battery wires keep getting pulled loose.
Your assistance/advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Issues with LiPo wires disconnecting from terminals
The wires, where they are soldered to the board are quite fragile and easily broken. You can resolder them to the circuit board without too much problem and I would recommend supporting the wires using tape or glue to add strain relief.

Thank you for your reply.
Do you have any instructions (video, printed or otherwise) for re soldering the wires to the circuit board on a LiPo battery? I do not want to get this wrong, given how dangerous LiPo batteries can be.
Thanks

You will be soldering to a PCB and if you take care you won't have a problem. Tin your wires before attaching and use flux if you have it.
