piezoelectric vibration sensor noise in plotter

Post by reynaldo »

Hi

I tested the sensor on an Arduino board and the readings are correct but when I connect it to the huzzah with esp8266 it gives me a lot of noise.

What adaptation do I have to make to make this sensor compatible with huzzah?

Not sure about the sensor you are using or the scale of your plots, but the analog range for the ESP8266 is 0v-1v vs 0v-5v for the Arduino. That means both signal and noise will be magnified by a factor of 5. You also need to use care not to exceed the 1v input range.
