I2C FM+ 1Mhz with FT232 Breakout board

by VZwanenberg on Fri Apr 20, 2018 9:18 am

We are using Adafruit Breakout board with FT232H chip in I2C mode.
Communication at 100KHz is running.

Can this board handle I2C Fast mode + transmission at 1MHz ?

I've tried this change in the example source code:
# Create I2C object.
i2c = FT232H.I2CDevice(ft232h, address, clock_hz=1000000)

Seems to work. The duty cycle of the clock is not 50% though. High time is only 200ns at this rate, requires strong pullup resistors to work. I am using 1k.

My question is: is it possible to change the SCL duty cycle to 50%?
