SHT31-D consistency

Post by lacibaci »

I am working on a small project utilizing bunch of SHT31-D sensors to measure temperature and humidity.
Generally they work fine but I am a little disappointed with the consistency. First sample was completely out of spec (see my post here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=141544)
Thinking this was a fluke, I ordered six more and it looks like there is again one that is of - not by as much as the first one but it is definitely noticeable.
Is this expected? Sensirion sensors are advertised as one of the best, calibrated so this is rather surprising...

OK, this indeed seems to be within the published spec. Measuring humidity accurately and consistently is apparently tricky - who knew :)
Attached is a document from Sensirion (may apply to other sensors as well)
