If you are using it to estimate exposure times, you should probably use the raw UVA and/or UVB readings instead of the calculated UV Index.
Cyanotype typically has sensitivity across both the UVA and UVB spectrum. But much of the UVB is blocked by the glass in a typical printing frame.
