Adafruit DIY cable connector

by astoneng on Fri Sep 13, 2019 2:30 pm

Hi,

I'd like to use an Adafruit DIY USB/HDMI cable with a custom board. However I cannot find any hardware files or schematics that would point to what spec FFC connector I would need for my custom board, to interface with the cable.

Does anyone know the pitch, thickness, # of pins on these connector cables? Or perhaps the p/n used on the adapter boards?

Many thanks,
Jake

Good question. I'm kind of surprised that is not available in Technical Specs section.

The FFC connectors are on our DIY HDMI / USB boards are 20-pin with 0.5mm pitch.

Along the same lines, do you happen to have the pinouts used on the connector. It *looks* like the first 8 pins on the 20-way are one signal, then the next two are another, the next two are another and the last 8 are ganged together.

So, I'm guessing it's +5v, D+, D- and GND ? Be good to know the order though :)
