Touch screen as a second display on Win 10

by oleglego on Sun Sep 15, 2019 1:31 pm

Dear All

I am wondering if it is possible to use the USB touch screen ( https://www.adafruit.com/product/2407 )
as a second display in the extended display mode such that touch sensor would work within the touch screen only.
Otherwise by default the touch screen area is extrapolated to the total (display 1 + display 2) area.

We have not tested this so no guarantee here.

I suspect extended desktop mode will work with Windows 10 assuming your existing display is not a touch screen.

You should can configure this through :

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
Control Panel/TabletPC/calibration

Windows Key + P to select extended mode

The calibration button is disabled (see attached). Can it be because the screen is not recognised as a touch screen?
The primary display is not a touch screen.

You can try some suggestions here for disabling / enabling touch screen devices on win10. It could require a driver rollback to work.

Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately it did not help. I cannot roll back the driver (it is disabled).
The screen is recognised as an "USB Input Device" and not as an "HID-compliant touch screen". Basically a mouse.
Do you have your driver for the screen?
