Changing Rechargeable Battery's Output voltage to 1.3 volts?

Post by bugmanavery »

Hello! First time poster, so do let me know if I posted this in the incorrect part of the forum.
I have a project I'm working on that involves adding a rechargeable battery to an old device. My plan is to use a 3.7v 500mAh battery with a charging module, and I kinda just assumed I could use a step-down board of some kind to get it to the desired 1.3 volts. Does this make sense? Does Adafruit carry a board that would let me get the output to 1.3 volts?
Thanks for the help,
Avery

I don't see anything that regulates down to 1.3v in the shop and I haven't been able to find a board level product from Mouser or Digikey.

However, you can find 1.3v regulators components that you could use to build your own circuit. E.g. https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/ ... ND/2355510. You'd need to know what kind of current your device requires, though I suspect 600mA is more than enough (as supported by the linked component).
