Blind Question about Drawdino.

by DaveBair on Tue Aug 17, 2010 4:44 pm

This is my first post, so far I love this place. My question is, do you think this is something that can be safely used by young blind children? I have not purchased the kit yet, but my son has a brain tumor and is blind because of it and I think something like this would be flat out awesome for him. Please let me know what you think, remember kids will always find a way to screw it up :)

Thanks

Dave

Electrically, there is not much to be concerned about. It uses a single AAA battery so the voltage and current are going to be small. Putting my product liability hat on, the biggest risk is probably the point on the pencil. But it works if built into a brush too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX7mQ4wYcpE&feature=player_embedded

I hope your son enjoys it.

we have found that most kids just really like grabbing both ends and squeezing in different ways to make sounds. they rarely even get to the pencil or brush part
