Non centering joystick/thumbstick?

by flightrisk on Wed May 12, 2021 11:34 pm

The little 2 axis thumbstick looks perfect. It even has a push switch. But I need 1 axis that doesn't center. RC radios have these all the time, usually a switch that unlocks a spring (or you open it and remove the spring). Is there anything made like this? Ideally it would have friction so it would easily stay in whatever position you push it to. An example would be forward and back stays in the position you leave it while left and right could self center.

I'm afraid we don't have anything like that, and I can't find any good candidates at Digkey or Mouser.

You might want to check with hobby shops that handle RC systems and see whatthey have. If you can get the name of a manufacturer it makes searching a lot easier.
