About Positional Rotation DC Motor (P/N: 169)

by digicomarthur on Mon Jun 14, 2021 5:26 pm

We had placed an order for 300 units of a DC motor (P/N: 169) through DigiKey in April. 84 units were defective at the first inspection when they were delivered. 84 replacements were shipped back to us by DigiKey and there were 14 of them were defective. The rotation of the levers attached to the device cannot be turned manually. They were stuck in the position when they were received.
Besides that, when the rest of the DC motors were installed, 22 additional failed in the final inspection. We need those 22 units replaced as soon as possible, and I was asked to post a topic here to get the RMA done.

Those are generally called "servos" or "servo motors".

On rereading this I am wondering what you mean by "turned manually". Please explain.

btw - these are geared servo motors - if you move them by hand ESPECIALLY WHEN POWERED - you will strip the gears

a video showing what you're trying to will help.
