PowerBoost 1000C Basic Question

Post by doctorwho8 »

Hello!
I have a decidedly strange question, I have here a https://www.adafruit.com/product/2030 which was bought a while ago from Micro Center. Obviously these devices were designed for working with LiPo batteries. And normally it does work with the 2500Mah battery that I also bought from the same place. (Well two were bought.)

Anyway, I am wondering if that board could be powered via a trio of regular alkaline batteries? Say three AA ones?

3xAA cells in series would provide about 4.5v. which is an acceptable input voltage for the PowerBoost.
