Hey guys,
In the guide for the Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board, there are only options to power it with batteries (USB power pack/lipoly/AAA). From what I understand because of the data trigger in USB that disables the ability for the board to play audio. I was wondering, if I use a charge only USB cable (so no data lines) connected to a 5V adapter (smartphone block) on main power, will that work? Or will that still trigger USB and not play audio? I am looking for a way to have constant excess to power and I wanted to check if this is possible before I purchase the product.
Thank you!

Yes, as long as the data lines aren't connected. I can't say for sure that all charge cables have ONLY 5v and ground lines, but I would expect them to.
