Powering Soundboard and Amplifier together

Hello all.

So I've been tinkering with the Sound FX board to give my Aliens M41a Pulse Rifle sound effects. I originally ordered the Sound FX board with the built in 2x2 amplifier but it wasn't loud enough. I'd like to combine these two together:

I was wondering if there was a way to power them both from the same power source or if that was unlikely due to a difference in power requirements. My assumption is that the Sound Board might not be able to handle the same juice as the amp. I have am 8.4V NiMH 1600mAh I know will probably work for the amp with the added bonus it already fits in the rifle. Will that power the board too?

Looking forward to seeing how your M41A build comes out.

The AudioFX is limited to 5.5v input max so you will need to step down the voltage from your battery pack for that device. The 20W amp will be fine with your pack power @ 8.4v.

These 5v bucks will work to power your AudioFX from the 8.4v pack you have (pick one):
