Does INA 219 provide RMS values of voltage and current?

Does INA 219 provide RMS values of voltage and current?

Post by darkryvaz »

Hi, I need a sensor that measures RMS values for both voltage and intensity. I don't know if INA 219 provides them. In case it doesn't, do you know any sensor that can do that? I prefer to work with Adafruit sensors but I don't care about working with other brands.

Thanks in advance

All the current sensors we carry report instantaneous values. To calculate the RMS over a set of samples:

Square each sample
Sum the squared samples
Divide the sum of the squared samples by the number of samples
Take the square root of step 3., the mean of the squared samples
