Hi,
I bought a [Sharp 2.7” memory LCD] last week, got it yesterday.
The screen doesn't work until I gently press down on the FPC part of the module.
The symptom seems FPC doesn't contact well to LCD.
Since it's a product defect, is it possible to get a replacement?
Attached are photos demonstrating the symptom, the image faded out right after I stopped pressing the FPC.
( I attempt to attach a short video clip that is intuitive, but your forum system doesn't allow me to do so.)
Thank you.
Kevin

Can you post another photo of the backside. It may be a connection issue where the ribbon cable goes in to the connector on the back.

Thanks. That actually looks OK.
Any obvious damage to the ribbon cable itself? It looks OK from what can be seen in photo.
Try restaging everything in a different location on the breadboard and see if you still get the same behavior.

Hi,
Thank you for the tips, I have tried couple times re-install the cable & make sure it goes all the way in to the receptacle every time. I guess there are nicks somewhere inside the cable, it conducts when I press.
I’m trying my best to prevent additional work for you and me, but unfortunately the problem still there, and it’s obviously a defective product. It’s been two days.
I would be appreciate if you could replace this item, instead of sending messages back and forth on the forum.

Sorry for the delay. Let's just replace this. Weird issue, but does seem potentially related to the ribbon cable.
