NTSC/PAL (Television) TFT Display - 1.5" Diagonal on RSPI 4B

Post by YC_ »

Hello,

I am trying to connect the NTSC/PAL (Television) TFT Display - 1.5" Diagonal (https://www.adafruit.com/product/910) to my raspberry pi 4 model B. I have powered the display using a 6V supply and connected the display to the pi RCA connector via the RCA Coupler Male to Male, according to this tutorial https://learn.adafruit.com/using-a-mini ... y-pi/parts.

According to the tutorial, once the pi is booted, the desktop of the OS will be up to the TFT display. However, my TFT display got only lighted up after connected to the power supply and keeps displaying black afterwards. I saw some discussions online mentioning the possibility of missing the AV cable. Therefore, to solve this issue I would like to confirm if it's necessary to connect the TFT display to the AV cable first and then connect the yellow output to the pi? If not, what could be some other potential solutions to solve the issue?

Thank you so much!

I figured it out! Under config there's an HDMI/composite option and I have to enable that option!
