Can TB6612 Be Used with Analog Pins?

Post by MountainMan370 »

I started using the Adafruit TB6612 Motor Driver Breakout with the Adafruit NEMA 17 Stepper Motors. Everything works perfectly using the example in the tutorial with both Uno and Nano. I’d like to use 2 of the NEMA17 motors with one Nano if possible. I don’t need PWM control. Can I use some of the analog pins for the INA and/or BIN connections or must they be digital pins?

Yes. You can use analog pins as digital pins on most Arduinos.

Just tried it with an Arduino Nano using 2 Adafruit NEMA 17 Steppers and 2 of the TB6612 breakouts. Worked fine with a homemade controller board that used 4 pushbuttons (Left and Right for each stepper) !!
