There is a group of us at AGOPENGPS (an open source auto steer project - [here is a link to our discussion) https://discourse.agopengps.com/t/diy-p ... ol/8034/40.. We are looking into using PWM for sprayers as a DIY add on to AOG. Control spay nozzles with PWM variable duty cycles to keep application rates accurate. A 120 ft boom has 72 nozzles each controlled separately would be the goal. Commercial units are EXPENSIVE!
Sure looks like the PCA9685 PWM driver will do the trick if we use the Si5351 clock with it. (We need lower MHz than the PWM driver gives)
So the question is; Is it as simple as connecting the 2 EXTCLK pins? Understand that they would need to be set per the datasheets to output and input. Possibly looking at having a PWM PCB made with an EXTCLK pin, if it is so simple.
using Si5351 clock with PCA9685 PWM driver
