Just soldered headers to my Teensy 4, but when I add the Audio shield, it seems to turn off. What can go wrong?
I put female headers on the Teensy (2x14 pins) and male under the audio, so reversed stacking order, but I would not think that is a problem.
I added this chip to the memory solder islands:
Cypres S25FL128L
All joints look nice soldered under a big magnifying glass.

Re: Teensy 4.0 LEDs go out after stacking Audio shield
Just to be sure, did you use revision D of the audio shield? Note, revision A-C of the audio shield is for the Teensy 3.2/3.5/3.6. Revision D is for the Teensy 4.0/4.1 microprocessors (the I2S pinout is different between the two).

Re: Teensy 4.0 LEDs go out after stacking Audio shield
After desoldering the memory chip, the shield no longer disables the Teensy. Probably an incompatible pin layout.
Edit: it was 180° turned around. Now I see the dot on the photo, the other side looked it had a notch so I aligned that.

It is great that you found it. I've done that a few times myself.
