FeatherWing Power Relay and PyGamer

Post by Claude_J_Greengrass »

Is it possible to use the FeatherWing Power Relay with a PyGamer?

If yes, is there a FeatherWing 2x Power Relay? or can 2 FeatherWing Power Relays be attached to a PyGamer?

Yes, that shouldn't be a problem.

No, there does not appear to be a double-relay Featherwing.

Yes, on each relay Featherwing you must select what pin controls the relay, with 11 options. So conceivably you can connect 11 of them. The size of the relay makes it (at the very least) awkward to stack them, but you could use a doubler https://www.adafruit.com/product/2890 or trippler https://www.adafruit.com/product/3417 to put them side-by-side. You would need stacking headers on one of the Feather footprints to match with the PyGamer, and female headers in the other positions for the wings.

Thanks Dave for your prompt reply. Awkward may be preferable to our current solution of using a separate breakout board.
