Defective solar Panel?

Post by ftx514 »

Hello!

I recently bought battery, solar panel and charger v2 (old), and finally the new one (bq24074), and of course dc jack adapter.
Order: 2888570-1530756114
6V 2W Solar Panel - ETFE (Voltaic P126) [ID:5366]
USB / DC / Solar Lithium Ion/Polymer charger (v2) [ID:390]
1 x 3.8 / 1.3mm or 3.5 / 1.1mm to 5.5 / 2.1mm DC Jack Adapter Cable[ID:2788]
1 x Lithium Ion Battery - 3.7V 2000mAh[ID:2011]

I try to put to the solar panel outsude at the sun, in front of led light or anything high light, nothing happens... i didnt see the charge led indicator, than i already have in previous solar panel and charger.
(Charging work on USBC)
Did you think the solar panel can be defective?

Thanks

Can you try reading the voltage output from the Solar Panel both on it's own default connector and with the DC Jack adapter you have added? What are the voltages you see when using a multimeter?

Okay, it should not be zero. Let's replace this one and try another.

Please contact [email protected]. Request a replacement panel and include your order# and a link to this forum thread.

before getting a replacement - verify whether the adapter is at fault or the panel by measuring voltage at both
