Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board + 2x2W Amp - -16MB

Post by marine_hm »

I completed my project with this audio board. It works great. Now I have an unusual issue with it.
I set it up with one sound file to get the project going. I want to change and add more sound files. Now, when I plug the USB into the back of the sound-board, it comes up as a speaker (VS1000B) and not a USB device as it did before.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, sorry to be a pain in the butt.

Nick
Doesn't show up as a drive on my computer
Make sure the green LED near the microUSB port is lit, that tells you it has power, however the red LED should not be lit
I see the red LED is lit. Should I desolder the power wires from the LOLIN ESP8266 Pro? Disconnect the speaker. No, the 8266 is not powered up.

Disconnecting the speaker didn't work.
Ah ha. Disconnecting the data wire from the ESP did the trick.

Sounds like you were able to get this working?

Which pin on the Sound FX Board was this? Seems like an interesting behavior. Curious for more information about what exactly was causing this to happen to the sound board.
