Light & Temperature assembly instructions

by cole3rd on Fri Aug 24, 2012 10:10 pm

I am new at this and found the Light & Temperature Data Logger to have very good assembly instructions up to the point of adding the light and temperature sensors. Is there further documentation other than
http://www.ladyada.net/make/logshield/lighttemp.html

Which is just a couple of pictures showing the finished product.
Thanks...

HI.

Sorry, but that it pretty much it for attaching the sensors. It may look a little daunting, but it really isn't difficult. You simply solder the components into holes on the proto area, as shown in the picture. Don't trim the loads short just yet. Solder wires into the adjacent holes, according to the wiring diagram, and then solder together the appropriate wire ends and the component leads beneath the board.

Study the pictures and wiring diagram a little before you get started, and I think it will all make sense to you.

Thanks Driverblock,

Appreciate the help... seems very daunting. Is all the documentation pretty much the same for all the projects?

Thanks again...

The tutorials for all the other projects are similar to the detailed, step-by-step first section of the logger. The sensor part of the logger tutorial is admittedly different. Sorry.

I'll float the idea of revamping that part...

try building it on a breadboard until you feel more comfortable!
