ultimate GPS tombstoned part

The picture attached shows a tombstoned or "cocked" part. An ohm meter shows that the two part ends nearest the screw hole are shorted.
Is this ok? I have not yet powered the unit.

Did you buy that from Adafruit? Sorry about that! :oops:

It should actually be OK if they're touching like that, since the pads themselves are supposed to be shorted.

However, feel free to contact support@adafruit.com for a replacement. Refer to this thread!

driverblock is correct, those are two capacitors 'in parallel' - so its totally OK for them to even be close (or even touching). all modules here pass our testing so you can go ahead and use it!
