5V 10A switching power supply - ID: 658

by Grailx3 on Sat Sep 08, 2012 8:57 pm

I recently bought a 5V 10A switching power supply - ID: 658 to power my 5m long LED strip. I plugged everything in and my power supply is non functional... What can I do to fix this?

Do I need to get a replacement?

Thanks,

Is it the power supply or the LED strip? If you have a multimeter, test the output voltage of the supply.
Also, make sure that the AC power cord is plugged firmly into the power supply.

Definitely the power supply. I checked it with my multimeter. The indicator light on the power supply never came on either.

Thanks for testing, sounds like a bum unit alright. Please email support@adafruit.com and include a link to this thread, and we'll set you up for a replacement.
