I have two of these boards and am experiencing the exact same problem. I can plug it in, and it is recognized by windows as a mouse, but if I using the configuration utility from Microchip it is not recognized.

If I use a USB to serial adaptor (and use the same USB cable) I can communicate with the board and calibrate it. This does me little good as I need to configure the board as a digitizer for my application.

If it matters I am using Windows 10

The Microchip software might not have access to the IO under Windows 10, so you might need to find another machine with an earlier version of Windows.

The good news is that you only need to run the configuration utility once. The AR1100 should remember the settings its given and register as a digitizer until you reconfigure it.

Hi All AR1100 users.

I just registered here to save everyone a little time (and myself probably in case I forget).

I was having exactly the same problem with Configuration Utility as many people here, like this:

15:30:09 USB AR1100 Digitizer Removed . .
15:30:16 USB AR1100 Digitizer Detected . .
15:30:19 Found Tub.dll - Ver: 1.5.0.0
15:30:19 USB AR1100 could not be found.
Please check your connections.

Windows 10 would "see" AR1100 as an input device, but Microchip configuration utilty would not connect. Then I just plugged the AR1100 into a Windows 7 computer and downloaded Microchip configuration utility off the net and it worked right away!

So, just don't waste your time with Windows 10, it is not supported in USB mode.

Hi All, well i am having the same problem! but my main issue is : The AR1100 is working on a small screen. but i am trying to connect it to an LP125WH2 that was pulled out from a TOSHIBA U920T. for starters i tried all possibilities in connecting the 4 wires. only one seemed ok but still not working, the blinking is different LoL. -how can i wire it my wires colors are : GRAY, ORANGE, YELLOW, BLACK ...
I thought the TFP401 would work on the screen but i need to get a converter for the plug.
Your help in this matter is well appreciated,
