FT232H Breakout board gives invalid device descriptor

Post by ichaelm »

I've been trying to get this chip working, but it appears to be unusable because it has a VID of 0000 and a PID of 0002. Is it possible that the chip was bricked by a nasty FTDI driver that identified it as counterfeit? If not, what else might have happened, and is there anything I can do?

Bump, since this seems to be the only way to contact Adafruit about technical issues.

consider downloading ft_prog from the ftdi web site and reassigning the corrupted variables. not sure if it will work, but hey its worth a try

Sorry for the late reply. This thread must have fallen off the radar.

How long have you had the FT232H breakout?
