5V, 2A Power Supply only giving 4.36V

Post by pf963al »

I purchased one of your 5V 2A switching power supplies (PID: 276) in April and today is the first time I have had the need to use it. This is supposed to have a regulated 5V output but I only see 4.36V with no load. Is there something wrong with this power supply?

I also purchased your Selectable Power Supply (PID: 1448) and it performs as expected.

There may be a problem with the power supply, but I'm afraid we have to be strict about our 30-day return/replace window. For the hardware we sell, it's way too easy for someone to break something and say, "I just opened it last night."

I understand your position on trust and return time limits and this was not an expensive product to begin with. But for those interested I had just opened the package and it did not provide the rated output advertised; too low to be useful. I either purchased a defective unit or this is an inferior product.
