by brianlay on Tue Oct 25, 2016 12:50 pm

Running Arduino IDE 1.6.12 on MAC OS Sierra 10.12

Previously uploaded to Flora with no problem
The IDE does not have a /dev/cu.isbmodem26421 to select as a port when I choose Gemma or Trinket as a board.

An error occurred while uploading the sketch

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Ok, I figured this out. The IDE will never show a port to connect to.

Just upload the sketch while the bootloader red light is flashing and it works1
