by brianlay on Tue Oct 25, 2016 12:50 pm

Running Arduino IDE 1.6.12 on MAC OS Sierra 10.12
Mac system Prefences reports Trinket connected
Previously uploaded to Flora with no problem
The IDE does not have a /dev/cu.isbmodem26421 to select as a port when I choose Gemma or Trinket as a board.

Errors reported during upload:
Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
Arduino: 1.6.12 (Mac OS X), Board: "Adafruit Trinket 8MHz"

Sketch uses 2,432 bytes (45%) of program storage space. Maximum is 5,310 bytes.

avrdude done.  Thank you.

An error occurred while uploading the sketch

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Ok, I figured this out. The IDE will never show a port to connect to.

Just upload the sketch while the bootloader red light is flashing and it works1
