USBtinyISP on macOS 10.12 on MacBook Pro ?

Post by h4aJ7jYvO1Qq5Ey »

Hi!

Do you happen to know, absolutely positively, that the USBtinyISP works with avrdude and macOS 10.12?

The reason I'm asking is that an older LUFA-based AVRISP-mkII is not handled well by avrdude on macOS 10.12. It works fine on 10.9, but not on 10.11 or 10.12, where it gives USB errors.

I see many reports of intermittent glitches in this forum, but many predate 10.12, and I didn't see a definitive solution.

Thank you.

I recommend using/trying CrossPack AVR. No I've not used USBtiny on Sierra. But I have used on 2014 retina with BANNED, USB 3.0, regularly. And on a 17" 2011 with El Capitan and USB 2.0. Zero problems. I suspect it will work on Sierra. All tools are included, with simple installer. May solve your AVRISP problem.
