The green LED on the Trinket means it sees your computer. Lack of TRINKETBOOT showing up on your computer means your computer is not seeing the Trinket. Did you install the drivers?

Yes, I have installed the drivers as per your link. Here's a screenshot of my searching for TRINKETBOOT.

Hmmm. Can you post a screen shot of your file explorer window with the Trinket in bootloader mode. Like this:

and also what your device manager shows.

When I attach the Trinket's USB cable to an unused USB hub port, the CIRCUITPY drive is recognized as E:. When I press the Reset button quickly twice to force Bootloader mode, the aforementioned Python drive disappears.
I have two Trinket M0s that display the same behavior.

you have the older driver, which sometimes caused this. GOOD NEWS we have a solution

you need to compelel UNINSTALL and DELETE the old driver

then installed the 2.0.0 driver

I am trying to get the correct software version and board add-ons to get a Trinket to work with a windows 7 computer.

@curious1 Please start a new thread for your question. Also, please clarify if you are working with the older Trinket (PID 1501) or the newer Trinket M0 (PID 3500).
