I don't find the hex file to program the ATTINY2313 for this circuit
Where is it or how can I make it?

I have the same problem... I cant't find anything about the USBtinyISP in the firmware-zip. nothing seems even close to be the code for the isp-programmer so I don't even see what to compile... am I so noob or what?
can u point us to the right direction??

Firmware...
Hi ladyada,
OK now that I finished my board, and programmed the ATTiny with my parallel programmer, I connected the USBtinyISP to my PC.
Well it's recognized by the PC but no way to install the driver: the file you selected doesn't contain any information about the hardware...... it says!
Also the green USB-OK LED doesn't light up.
I took the main.hex thats contained in the spi subfolder, or do I have to compile it myself or even modify the source code? No idea I tried almost anything......
I would have bought it but everything from the US to Europe is so damn expensive in shipment that it just doesn't pay.....
so I'm very thankful for anything helpful

I still don't get it....
hmmm, wait.....
sorry I am an absolute beginner in this so I just don't get it.
do I neet to use that for programming the tiny on the board or to use the board later? in my understandings the makefile compiles main.c and then flashes the main.hex to the u-controller for use on the board....
but if I flash the main.hex to my tiny with an other programmer it should work too... no? the flags are already programmed right so no probs there....
and yes I did read the README and Makefiles but like i said I am new to this stuff.... so i don't really know what im reading there. do I have to modify something before compiling? the makefile in the main dir just generates the subfolders with the .hex files an other stuff an the makefile in the spi folder just flashes the main.hex (from the spi folder) to the connected controller!?
right?? and then put into my board it should work and fit to the driver?
I'm so confused and disappointed now I just go to bed.. we'll see tomorrow..
thxx for helping

well the microcontroller in the usbtinyisp has to be programmed
if you buy a kit it is preprogrammed
otherwise you have to program it with the firmware
you can program it in circuit by connecting a programmer to the header on the usbtinyisp board and putting a jumper in the "self program" spot
do you know how to program avr's? you may want to search google for more info about how this stuff works
i cant really offer support unless you buy the kit as its too much work

I see...
ok now I think u misunderstand me totally..
it's true I am a newby with this, but I perfectly now how to programm avr's.
and I flashed the attiny with the firmware! but not like u described but over an parallel programmer board i have..>> no do!
never mind I will google for solutions and get more info on compiling and syntax then we'll see..
thxx a lot ladyada an keep on doing this..
