STK200 programming problem fixed

by traylor on Tue Sep 25, 2007 1:37 am

The problem as I suspected was that pin 3 of the programming connector is
not used. It is usually used to switch the analog mux to allow dual functioning
of the programming pins. My temporary solution which may not be exactly
right but works is to connect pin 3 of the programming connector to pin 5.
This forces the analog mux to select the external programming interface
whenever reset is asserted by the programmer. It works great for me.

Note to the designer, perhaps using another 2313 pin to control pin 3 of the
connector would be a better solution is some different timing is required for
reset and the mux select lines.

Best wishes,
Roger Traylor

Hooray! That's amazing, many thanks for that info. I'll try it at home when I get the chance - thanks again :)
