need a basic tutorial

by Jambo101 on Wed Nov 09, 2016 11:48 pm

I have found Adafruit Arduino tutorials, but not for the starter kit I just bought (the $64 starter pack with Uno R3). Can someone point me to help?

We don't have a tutorial specifically for that set of parts, but the kit gives you enough parts to work through the most important Learning Arduino turorials.

If you're just starting, the most important thing is to get familiar with the Arduino IDE and getting it to talk to an Arduino at all. Then you can move on to basic hardware programming, like blinking an LED, reading button inputs, reading potentiometers, and working with basic sensors.

Those are foundation skills that you'll use in almost any project. Once you're comfortable with them, you can move to the next level of complexity and start communicating with other integrated circuits.

For now, focus on the basics and look for ways to use every component in the starter pack.
