Help getting started with Flora

by Panagiotis_K87 on Sun Dec 02, 2018 2:46 pm

Hello everyone,

I want to try experimenting with Adafruit's Flora(bought the starter kit).
Is there a guide/tutorial on how to start learning from scratch?
I installed arduino software and connected Flora but could not figure out much
from the information i found.
Thank you in advance, any help would be grateful!

This getting started with Flora tutorial linked to on the Flora product page should get you going and even has some example projects listed. https://learn.adafruit.com/getting-started-with-flora/overview

The guide linked above is an excellent start. Also look through other guides and projects that use Flora:
https://learn.adafruit.com/search?q=flora

There's also a book:

The first link from Keith has no drivers for Flora.
In order to install those drivers(flora),the only way is via codebender?
I am trying that but the file i download it appears as a trojan horse and does not work.

Thank you in advance

The drivers should be available via the link box on this page:

Here's the direct link in case it's not working for you for some reason:

Greetings. I purchased 50 Adafruit Flora main boards for a summer camp workshops. unfortunately, I cannot seem to find sample projects for just the main board. All the projects that are online references additional components needed. Please help.

The purpose for purchasing the 50 was to include them on tee shirt images that the students will design.

Thank you.

The FLORA was meant to be used in conjunction with additional items attached to its pads. Other than a status RGB LED, there's not much on the board itself other than then main chip.

If you wanted a more stand alone board, the Circuit Playground Express might be what you are looking for?

They look similar - round boards with pads. But the Circuit Playground Express is much different, it includes numerous on board hardware items like sensors and buttons that can be used for projects without any external hardware:

Thank you for the response.

That's very unfortunate. I have 35 Flora main board USB connection that are not recognized. If I can get that particular problem resolved, I will used the boards with attachments later.
