Hi. I bought a powerboost 500 shield and a 2000mAh Li-ion battery. I plugged the battery and a USB charger in the shield, the charging light is lit, but the Done light never comes up. It's been plugged in for more than 24 hours, and it's still showing Charging. Does it mean that something is broken, or is it not going to show the correct status until the shield is actually connected to an Arduino? I didn't solder anything, just plugged in the battery and the charger, didn't try to connect it to Arduino. The charger is a no-name one which I use to charge my ipad, and the USB cable is from a USB battery pack which works fine.

If you have a multimeter, measure the voltage between the positive and negative wires on the LiPo cell.

A full charge would be 4.2v. Possible issues could be: If the power supply or cable can charge an iPad, they should be OK for a 2000mAh cell. Other possible issues are the cell itself or a problem with the charger. If you leave them connected for another couple of hours, does the measured battery voltage change?

Bonjour,
Vos conseils me seront très précieux.

I got the replacement shield and it works: it charged the battery, and Done light got lit instead of Charging. Also, on this board, whenever I plug in the battery, 5V light is lit. That didn't happen with the old board (see the picture above).
